In recent months, the prices of storage devices and memory have skyrocketed, and that has made building a new gaming PC or upgrading an existing one very difficult. However, we came across the WD_Blue SN5000 4TB SSD with a mind blowing 57% discount on Amazon that knocked it all the way down to $549.99 from $1,268.99. This is a massive discount and the perfect time to get your hands on a very efficient SSD with plenty of storage.

It is important to keep in mind that this is a Gen4 SSD, so the read and write speeds aren’t comparable to Gen5 SSDs, but the performance and efficiency should be good. For AI and complex workflows, the newer drives are better suited, but this SSD is also capable enough to deliver seamless performance across the board.

Why you should get this SSD

It offers plenty of storage with a decent performance and efficiency boost

4TB is a lot of space to store games, applications, media files, project files, and other data without running out of space anytime soon. It is perfect if you’re a content creator who works with 4K content, as that needs a lot of space, and 4TB should house multiple videos, keeping your primary SSD free. However, you can also use this SSD as a primary SSD, as it should help the system boot faster, and apps and games load faster.
