For pure 1440p performance and value, the RX 9060 XT 16GB remains a top pick, even in a year where graphics card prices are inflated and MSRPs seem like a myth. But we have spotted a slightly improved deal on the Asus Radeon White edition of the card, down from its current list price. So, instead of $500, the GPU is available for $470. That $30 discount isn’t nothing, and if you need a new graphics card right now, that’s some welcome relief for a model with good 2K performance and 16GB of VRAM.

Why we like the Asus Radeon RX 9060 XT 16GB White Edition

Smooth 1440p gaming

The RX 9060 XT 16GB is a very capable 1440p graphics card. In fact, AMD’s launch claim that it is the ‘mainstream GPU’ may actually be plausible if MSRPs were maintained. Nonetheless, it’s competitive with the RTX 5060 Ti, for a good amount less, and it can fly at 1080p. According to our RX 9060 XT 16GB review round-up, the card can deliver 70+ fps in (the harsh) Cyberpunk 2077 at 1440p…which is impressive.

Plenty of VRAM

A clear benefit for the RX 9060 XT 16GB is its ample VRAM. For a similar price, you’d be looking at the RTX 5060 Ti 8GB model. That’s a slim VRAM capacity for 1440p gaming in some titles, even in 2026. And with GPU upgrades being (perhaps) a once-every-few-years occurrence for many gamers, 16GB VRAM is worth having, considering the shift to more complex textures in games.

RDNA 4 improvements

For ray tracing and AI-powered graphics, Nvidia still wins. But RDNA 4 card performance is superior to the previous generation. AMD’s FSR 4, Team Red’s answer to DLSS, is in a good place, and for AI upscaling and frame generation, the 16GB of VRAM certainly comes in handy. Essentially, if you’re a gamer, it’s a good time to buy AMD, but if you want the cutting edge of AI features, you’ll need to spend more.

What to consider before you buy

First things first, the ASUS Radeon RX 9060 XT White Edition is an excellent 1440p graphics card that delivers impressive 2K performance and will fly at 1080p. That makes it a good midrange pick, while its 16GB of VRAM should keep it in a good spot for years to come. If you want a potential 4K card, you’ll need to look to AMD’s RX 9070 range for the best value options. And to address the white elephant in the room, if white isn’t your color, the black Asus Radeon RX 9060 XT 16GB also has a deal right now.
