Epic, the creator of Fortnite, hasn’t had the best relationship with Apple, iOS, and the App Store. Back in August 2020, a lawsuit was filed by Epic against Apple requiring all payments to go through app store and not allowing alternative methods of payment. Regardless of opinion, Epic wanted to make their own choices with their own intellectual property. This has resulted in a back and forth that has left Fortnite in the dark for iOS users.

Luckily for Fortnite, GeForce Now has opened up the realm of possibilities for playing the massively popular battle royale title on mobile. Backed with a mobile controller layout and the power of GeForce servers, users can use a free subscription or upgrade to have an RTX 3000 series PC streaming content to an iPhone for a fee.

Let’s go through how to get Fortnite on iOS. First, users will need to sign up for a GeForce Now subscription by clicking here.

Register for Fortnite’s closed Beta

Once the account has been created, click here to join the waiting list for the Fortnite limited-time closed beta for mobile. The beta will be available for iOS devices via Safari, which includes iPhones and iPads. It will also be available via Android too!

Users will be notified via eMail when it’s their turn to join the Fortnite closed beta. The email linked to the relevant GeForce account will be used for the invite, although we can’t be certain when they’ll drop.
