Activision is running a free trial for Black Ops 6 during the Battlefield 6 launch week
Table of Contents
It has been almost a year since Black Ops 6 was released, and with Black Ops 7 not too far away, Activision is giving gamers (including those on PC) the chance to play for free. This comes just as the BO7 beta came to a close and conveniently takes place just as a rival game launches. Battlefield 6 has been making headlines as a strong rival to the latest Call of Duty entry.
At the time of writing this, Battlefield 6 is less than an hour away from launching, and it seems as if Activision is doing everything in its power to try and draw your attention back to Call of Duty. First, the beta was extended, and now Black Ops 6 will be free for the next week, from October 9 to October 16.
Not just multiplayer – you have full access to the single player too
This isn’t just a free trial for multiplayer either; it also gives you full access to the campaign. So, if you have no interest in jumping into online play, this free trial is perfect for those looking for a single-player FPS experience. Considering Battlefield 6 campaign reviews haven’t been looking great – IGN notably gave it ‘Mediocre’ 5/10 – maybe give the BO6 campaign a try this weekend instead.
For a limited time from October 9 to October 16, play Campaign, Multiplayer, and Zombies in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 for FREE. Experience the cinematic single-player Campaign, then jump into over 40 Multiplayer maps, including new maps: Gravity, Mothball, and Rig. In Zombies, access all six Round-Based maps and available modes.

It seems painfully obvious why these Call of Duty promotions are happening right now, especially given the positive response Battlefield 6 got following its original gameplay trailer and its own beta phase. The Black Ops 6 free trial arrives in tandem with the Season 6 launch, which features the Halloween-themed ‘Boo-Town’ map and crossover skins in the form of Jason (of Friday the 13th fame) and Chucky in the new Slasher Deathmatch multiplayer mode.
