Alienware 15 laptop with up to RTX 5060 config arrives as Dell’s new budget-friendly gaming option, after G Series sunsetted

Alienware launched its newest flagship Alienware 18 Area-51 gaming laptop earlier this year after a reveal at CES 2026 in January. It arrived around the same time as the 16X Aurora and 16 Area-51 models, and during the event, we were promised information about ‘Ultra-Slim and Entry Level laptops’ during the spring. Well, that time has finally come – the Alienware 15 has launched.
Dell says it has sunsetted its G Series, which was designed to house cheaper gaming models – away from the premium Alienware brand, but still a step above the more productivity-focused Dell ranges. Now, the company has adopted an “all Alienware brand” for any gaming-focused machines, and that’s exactly what the Alienware 15 is, albeit with specs that are closer to entry-level.

Dell says it will first be available in North America before availability reaches other regions around the world. Additionally, the company is doing its best to hold these price points, but admits that changes will be made if memory availability and costs alter in the future.
In Dell’s words, the new Alienware 15 “opens the door for more gamers to experience what Alienware is built on: real performance, proven quality, and a design engineered to last.” During a product briefing, Dell went into detail regarding some of the design decisions surrounding Alienware 15, noting that it went through the “same rigorous testing” as all Alienware products, resulting in a “Highly durable product” at a more budget-friendly price point.
Additional features include a “Stealth Mode” hotkey, robust 180-degree hinge design, and a large fingerprint-resistant touchpad with soft tactility. It also enjoys a backlit keyboard with a number pad crammed in. Speaking about the numpad, Dell tells us that “6 out of 10” said a numpad influenced their buying decision, while a third of people called it “a must-have” for laptops.
