AMD fans are currently looking forward to the Ryzen 9000 series processors, which are expected to launch next month. These processors will feature the Zen 5 architecture, and their performance is expected to be significantly better than the previous generation of processors. But while we wait for the next generation of processors to arrive, AMD has slashed the prices of two of their processors, and one of them is listed at its lowest price ever.
Which AMD processors are available at a discount?
First, we have the Ryzen 9 7950X3D. It boasts 16 cores and 32 threads with SMT (Simultaneous Multi-Threading) technology, allowing it to handle demanding games and multitasking workloads efficiently. On top of that, while its base clock speed is set at 4.2 GHz, it can be boosted up to 5.7 GHz. All of this makes the 7950X3D a high-end processor for both gaming and productivity. As for its price, it is currently listed at $499, which is 29% less than the original price of $699. The interesting part is that this is the lowest price we’ve seen yet for the processor on Amazon.
The second processor that is currently available at a discounted price is the Ryzen 7 7800X3D. This one comes with 8 cores, 16 threads, and a max boost clock of 5 GHz. While the Ryzen 7 7800X3D offers fewer cores compared to the Ryzen 9 7950X3D, it compensates with its focus on gaming thanks to the 3D V-Cache technology. And at the moment, the processor is available for only $339.99 instead of $449, meaning you can get a 24% discount on it. The discount makes it a great option for those who want something powerful but don’t want it to put a dent in their bank account.
It’s great to see that AMD has provided a discount on two popular processors. This will allow some people to easily upgrade to better processors, even if they don’t plan to get one from the Ryzen 9000 series. However, it is important to keep in mind that the first batch of the Ryzen 9000 series processors won’t include any X3D models, as they are expected to arrive later this year. So, if you were planning to get an X3D processor, you would have to stick with the current generation of processors for a while.
