As Intel announces that Innovation 2024 will be held from September 24-25, we look ahead to the expected announcements and launches, including a possible first look at the much anticipated Arrow Lake CPUs. This comes shortly after Intel confirmed that Arrow Lake is on track for Q4 2024, with an update due at Computex next week. However, once that’s said and done, the annual Innovation event looks like the next big thing to look forward to.

Innovation 2024 set for September

Innovation 2024 is not just your normal presentation or keynote speech; it is in fact a multi-day event designed by Intel to show off their latest projects to developers, tech managers, architects, and fans. The event, which takes place in San Jose, California is a hotbed for new launches and announcements.

AMD launches latest Ryzen 9 9950X3D & 9900X3D CPUs!

AMD's highly anticipated Ryzen 9 9950X3D and 9900X3D chips have finally arrived! Below, we will be listing all the latest listings from the web's biggest retailers.

For example, since 2021, we have seen the announcement of the “Alder Lake”, “Raptor Lake”, and “Meteor Lake” series at each consecutive Innovation event. With a history of big launches and first looks, we have a feeling that Intel could be just a few months away from showing off the much-talked-about “Arrow Lake” chips. With a confirmed release date set for Q4 of 2025, this feels like the appropriate time for the company to formally unveil the chips to the public.

Arrow Lake to be unveiled?

Arrow Lake will undoubtedly be the headline catcher of Innovation 2024, as they are expected to be a major leap forward in performance. According to leaks, they will likely use a new socket design, the LGA 1851, and a more advanced process node, leading to significant performance and efficiency gains.

The architecture will also be revamped, with Lion Cove for performance cores and Skymont for efficiency cores. Despite rumors of higher core counts, leaks suggest Arrow Lake will retain the current 8 performance cores and 16 efficiency cores. Fans will likely tune in to finally have the rumors and leaks confirmed by Intel themselves.

Other expected announcements

So yes, the “Arrow Lake” panel will certainly be the hottest part of the 2-day event, but it will not be the only thing that takes the headlines. There will be a whole host of other announcements and products expected to be revealed. With the confirmation of the Xeon 5 Emerald Rapids release date at last year’s event, fans will expect updates on Granite Rapids and Gaudi 3 products this time around.

While primarily an in-person event, fans have been able to catch a live online broadcast of the panels and speeches in the past. With that being said, Intel has released no information about this year’s livestreams and broadcasts just yet.

Innovation 2024 is one of just several events in Intel’s upcoming schedule, with Computex 2024 first taking place in June, between the 4th and 7th. While we don’t anticipate any “Arrow Lake” discussion there, we can look ahead to updates on the Z890 motherboard chips instead.
