Nearly a couple of months after its release, new information suggests Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced could be heading to the Nintendo Switch 2. Although Ubisoft has not announced an official port yet, a new retailer listing has sparked speculation that the game could arrive on Nintendo’s latest console later this month.

The listing comes from French retailer E.Leclerc and is for an Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced-themed Advanced Pro Wireless Controller for Nintendo Switch 2. Interestingly, a release date for the peripheral shows that the controller is scheduled to become available on September 22, 2026, which is now in less than three week’s time.

E.Leclerc’s product page also includes an image of the controller, featuring Assassin’s Creed Black Flag branding and artwork. That makes the listing more interesting than a simple text error, although it still does not confirm whether the game itself is coming to Switch 2.

It is possible that the controller could be released without a Switch 2 version of Black Flag Resynced. However, having a controller specifically themed around the game would make much more sense if the title is also coming to the platform.

Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced is a modern version of Ubisoft’s popular 2013 pirate adventure. The original game follows Edward Kenway, a pirate who becomes involved with the Assassin-Templar conflict while sailing across the Caribbean. The Resynced version brings the classic adventure to modern hardware with updated visuals and other improvements. It keeps the focus on open-world exploration, naval combat, sword fighting, stealth, and the pirate fantasy that made Black Flag so popular.

Black Flag Resynced originally launched on July 9, 2026, but a Nintendo Switch 2 version was notably absent. Nintendo’s console already has an Assassin’s Creed game in the form of Assassin’s Creed Shadows, so Ubisoft has shown that it is willing to bring the franchise’s newer (and more graphically demanding) titles to the platform. AC Shadows arrived on Switch 2 within a year of its original launch.
