We think it’s safe to say that Dying Light is one of the best zombie games ever made. Despite being over 10 years old, it is still played by thousands on a daily basis. Back in 2016, developers Techland gave the game a fresh look and feel with The Following expansion, and later introduced a free next-gen update for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. And even after 10 years, they haven’t stopped supporting the game, as they’ve just announced some free content.

Techland is celebrating Dying Light’s 10th anniversary with free items and events

Techland is celebrating Dying Light’s 10th anniversary in style. On the game’s official X account, the developers confirmed that the “10th Anniversary celebrations are underway! Starting today, you can enjoy a number of in-game events and special deals.” Over the next four weeks, Dying Light players can look forward to new events and plenty of free rewards.

During the first week, which has now started, you can grab the Dying Light: 10th Anniversary Bundle for free via Steam or Epic Games Store. For those wondering, the bundle includes the following items:

  • Hotshot Outfit
  • Dawnbreaker Shotgun
  • Sunburst Revolver
  • Golden Idol Machete
  • Golden Hour Buggy Paint Job

In short, you’ll get access to five new items, including three powerful weapons, for free through the bundle. However, keep in mind that the bundle doesn’t include the base game, so you’ll need to purchase it separately. Also, the bundle will disappear on February 10, so make sure to grab the free items before they’re gone.

Over the next few weeks, Dying Light players will also enjoy different events. The Hypermode + Double XP event is currently live, while Low Gravity will start in week 2, followed by Super-Crane and Viral Rush events in weeks 3 and 4, respectively. Dying Light 2 players, on the other hand, will receive free items and new bounties at Pilgrim Outpost.

Another important point to keep in mind is that both Dying Light and Dying Light 2 are currently available with huge discounts on Steam. The first game is 70% off, while the sequel is 67% off, which is the biggest discount we’ve seen since its release in February 2022 according to SteamDB.
