It’s only been a few days since Jensen unveiled the brand’s new exciting lineup of AI-powered GPUs to the world and we’re already seeing RTX 5090 laptop listings pushed on popular US retailers – months ahead of their scheduled launch.
Retailers aren’t messing around with NVIDIA’s latest 50-series lineup, pushing listings live for a whole host of models a few days after their announcement. This isn’t overly surprising, as we’ve seen retailers go live with newly-released hardware before – but not when the product isn’t set to hit shelves for at least a couple of months.
At the time of writing this, RTX 5090 laptops are said to hit shelves in March, as per the comments made on NVIDIA’s own announcements post. That being the case, with competition for these high-end laptops predictably high, it’s no surprise that retailers are setting their stalls out nice and early.
Best Buy begins listing RTX 5090 laptops early
It seems Best Buy is one of the first brands to start listing RTX 5090 laptops, pushing a couple of high-end ASUS models from both the Strix and Zephyrus lineups.
Each model looks set to retail for around $4,000 and will feature some of the latest innovations in tech. Both will enjoy a 240Hz refresh rate, large 32GB RAM capacities, and Intel Core Ultra 9 processors. It’s unclear when you’ll be able to buy/ pre order these units, with Best Buy only offering a “notify me” option right now. At present, we can only speculate that the listings will continue their March trajectory – with no news suggesting otherwise right now.
One thing is for certain, these high-end laptops will not be cheap. Just like last year’s RTX 4090 laptops, these will offer cutting-edge performance at the highest level, making them an enthusiast’s dream choice when they finally arrive.
