Gamers are being priced out of the hobby, so here’s a list of all upcoming Steam sales

Over the past month or so, price hikes on gaming hardware and games have hit players around the world. First, Sony announced a price increase across its PlayStation 5 lineup, citing a “challenging economic environment.” Not long after, Xbox followed with its own update, raising the standard price of its first-party games from $60 to $80. That came following the Nintendo Switch 2 announcement, confirming that titles for the upcoming Switch 2 could cost up to $30 more.
However, while console and handheld gamers are feeling the sting, PC gamers seem to be doing just fine, and much of that is thanks to Steam. Every year, Steam runs four major seasonal sales, three Next Fests, and several themed events that offer deep discounts on a wide range of games. The big seasonal sales during Summer, Autumn, and Winter usually have the broadest selection, while genre-specific “Fests” focus on categories like RPGs, strategy games, or indie titles.

With so many events happening throughout the year, it can be tough to keep track unless you’re marking your calendar. To make things easier, we've put together a list of all the confirmed Steam sale dates coming up so you can plan ahead, build your wishlist, and maybe even save a bit of cash along the way. That said, the next major sale, according to the official dates, is the Summer Sale starting on June 9. As usual, it will run for about two weeks, and this is when we can expect some of the steepest discounts of the year. However, don’t overlook the smaller genre-themed sales happening throughout the year. One of them might include a discount on a game you’ve been wanting to try, like the surprise 50 percent off Dark Souls franchise sale that is currently live for everyone.
