In the unlikely event that you still haven’t heard: the Steam Summer Sale is going on right now. It kicked off back on June 27 and will end in a couple of days on July 11. We suspect that not everyone has done their seasonal shopping just yet, so we’ve gathered up some of the best deals of them all – games at an all-time low price.

Just because the Summer Sale is one of Steam’s biggest of the year, that doesn’t guarantee that all discounts are at an all-time low. So, with that in mind, we’ve hand-picked five titles worth taking a look at if value for money is what you’re after.

Prices correct as of November 14th, 2024.

Our top 5 Steam Summer Sale games at all-time low price

SteamDB has proven to be a valuable tool for picking out the best discounts this Summer, so we’ll be using this resource as a reference for pricing. There is a long list of games hitting a ‘new historical low’ price. To avoid repeats, we won’t be including anything that already made our top 5 games under $5, so check that out if you have a limited budget. Or any of the other various Steam deals we’ve featured such as The Walking Dead.

You can browse through SteamDB if you want the full list. However, our curated selection below should have something for everyone, even if you only plan on buying just one game this July.

The Talos Principle 2

The Talos Principle 2 – 50% off on Steam

This game is marketed as a “thought-provoking first-person puzzle experience” and if you’re a fan of games like Portal, this could be right up your alley. The Talos Principle 2 came out at the tail end of 2023 and now only costs $14.99 compared to the full $29.99 price tag. We’d also recommend the original game, which is just $4.49 right now (though not quite the lowest-ever price).

Sonic Frontiers

Sonic Frontiers – 65% off on Steam

One of the more recent games to enter the Sonic franchise (there are too many to keep track of at this point), Sonic Frontiers throws Sega’s mascot into an open-world environment for the first time. Despite that, you still get some of the series’ staples in this 3D platformer. Usually priced at $59.99, it is now just $20.99.

Teardown

Teardown – 50% off on Steam

Teardown offers a pretty unique sandbox experience. A heist game in which the simulated levels are fully destructible. It’s a whole lot of fun for the chaotic types out there. Interestingly enough, this game went through a pricing restructure last year, increasing by $10. This discount drops it down to $14.99, which is even lower than the sale prices before the increase.

Aliens: Dark Descent

Aliens: Dark Descent – 50% off on Steam

Set within the iconic Alien universe, Aliens: Dark Descent is a single-player RTS (real-time strategy) that came out just last year. At the time of writing, it costs $19.99, down from the usual $39.99. If you’re looking for something a little more tactical, or just something set in an iconic franchise you know and love, this one could be for you.

GTFO

GTFO – 50% off on Steam

Last, but not least, we have GTFO. With a name like that, it makes sense as our final pick. GTFO is another game that is 50% off, dropping to $19.99 at the moment. It’s a co-op horror shooter that it’s a great choice of game if you want a new something new to play with a few friends. For reference, it’s designed for four players, but bots will fill any remaining spots if you need them.
