Long-awaited Hollow Knight sequel could be coming to GeForce Now at launch
Table of Contents
Hollow Knight was released back in 2017 and has been the subject of a lot of praise, building a sizeable fanbase over the years. It can run on just about anything and is available on a range of platforms, as well as being verified on Steam Deck. Fans of the original have been waiting a while for a sequel to be released, and we now have some further information to pull from.
It is already known that Hollow Knight: Silksong has been in development since 2019 and is set to be released on a range of platforms, including PC. However, a new leak suggests that it may even be coming to GeForce Now – not that we expect the indie title to be particularly demanding, but who knows?

Hollow Knight: Silksong sees signs of life in Steam changelist
Team Cherry, the development team behind Hollow Knight, has yet to disclose a release date for the sequel. However, an interesting note is that the Copyright year for the game has been updated from 2019 to 2025 in a recent Steam update behind the scenes. This change can be seen in the changelog for the game, courtesy of SteamDB.
As we mentioned, GeForce Now support is also mentioned, listed as Cloud Gaming (Nvidia) in the patch notes. This seems to point towards early support for Silksong on the cloud gaming platform. Despite that, we don’t expect the game to be particularly demanding, especially since it is slated for a Nintendo Switch launch (perhaps the Switch 2?)
In any case, you can check out Silksong on the Steam store. System requirements are actually listed here, but they are the same as the original game, which tells us they have yet to be updated. So, GeForce Now support with a 2025 launch could be what’s in store for the Hollow Knight sequel, but we’ll have to wait for official confirmation from Team Cherry and/or Nvidia.
