Logitech appears to be preparing another version of its popular MX Master 4 mouse. While the company hasn’t officially announced it yet, new marketing images have reportedly revealed the Logitech MX Master 4 Special Edition, giving us an early look at its design and some of its specifications.
The leak comes from WinFuture’s Roland Quandt, who previously revealed that a Special Edition model was on the way. Based on the latest information, Logitech isn’t making any major hardware changes this time. Instead, the company appears to be taking the existing MX Master 4 and giving it a much more distinctive design.
The Special Edition uses a light-colored main body combined with darker side grips and several red accents. The left mouse button features a white pattern alongside red graphics, while the right button has “Special Edition” printed on it. There are also markings and numbers running across the upper section of the mouse, along with a red-to-pink gradient near the side grip. Even the button positioned behind the main scroll wheel has been changed to a reddish-orange color.

Overall, it’s a noticeably different look compared to the standard MX Master 4, which is available in much simpler color options. However, anyone hoping for upgraded hardware may be disappointed, as the specifications are reportedly staying mostly the same.
The Special Edition is expected to feature the same 8,000 DPI sensor as the regular MX Master 4, along with eight buttons and Logitech’s MagSpeed scroll wheel. It should also retain the horizontal thumb wheel and gesture button. One of the MX Master 4’s newer features, haptic feedback through the thumb area, is expected to return as well.
Battery life should also remain unchanged. The mouse reportedly uses the same 650mAh battery, which Logitech rates for up to 70 days of use on a full charge. This means the Special Edition seems to be aimed mainly at people who already like what the MX Master 4 offers but want something that stands out a little more on their desk.
That said, there’s currently no information about when it will be available or how much it will cost. So we’ll need to wait for an official announcement for that.
