New PlayStation Store reward system goes live, with some players getting $10 credit with their game purchases

Sony appears to have quietly introduced a new rewards system on the PlayStation Store, giving some players $10 in wallet credit when they purchase select PS5 games. The company hasn’t officially announced the program yet, but several users have started spotting limited-time “Wallet Credit” offers directly on game listings.
The system was brought to attention after a Reddit user noticed an unusual offer while deciding between Dragon’s Dogma 2 and The Blood of Dawnwalker. The latter displayed a promotion promising wallet credit with the purchase. The user decided to buy the game and later confirmed that $10 was immediately added to their PlayStation Store wallet.
Multiple games are reportedly compatible with this $10 reward
It doesn’t appear to be limited to a single game either. Similar Wallet Credit offers have reportedly appeared with Star Wars Zero Company, Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy, Halloween: The Game, Onimusha: Way of the Sword, and Mortal Shell II, among others. At least some of the promotions are also limited-time offers, with The Blood of Dawnwalker promotion reportedly showing a September 29 expiration date.

Interestingly, this isn’t the first sign of Sony working on something related to Wallet Credit. A mysterious listing carrying the same name appeared on the PlayStation Store back in February 2026, although there was little information explaining exactly what it was supposed to do at the time.
For those who don’t know, Sony also previously shut down PlayStation Stars in 2025. That loyalty program allowed members to earn points through purchases and other activities before exchanging them for different rewards. The new Wallet Credit system appears much simpler, at least based on what players are currently seeing. Instead of completing campaigns or collecting points, eligible purchases can directly reward players with PlayStation Store credit that can then be spent on something else.
That said, Sony hasn’t formally announced the program, so we don’t yet know how games are selected, whether every eligible purchase gives $10, or if the amount could change depending on the game. We also don’t know if the program will be limited to specific regions or if Sony will roll it out for everyone.
