Nioh 3 is just around the corner. It’s the direct sequel to Nioh 2, which originally launched in 2020 and earned a strong following thanks to its tough combat, dark atmosphere, and deep progression systems. As such, we suspect many fans are planning to buy Nioh 3 as soon as it launches. If you’re one of them, then we’ve got some good news for you.

Normally, brand-new games don’t see any price cuts until months after release. This is especially true for big sequels with a lot of hype behind them. However, even though Nioh 3 is a few weeks away from launch, Steam key reseller Fanatical has already dropped the price. The Standard Edition is currently listed for $61.59, down from its full price of $69.99. That’s a 12% discount, which may not sound huge, but it’s still a decent saving compared to paying full price on launch day.

If you’re interested in more content, Fanatical is also offering a discount on the Digital Deluxe Edition. This version usually costs $109.99, but right now it’s available for $96.79. The Deluxe Edition includes the base game, the Season Pass, the Season Pass bonus Chijiko Netsuke Charm, the Infernal Weapons Set with 14 different weapon types, and the Kodama Netsuke Charm. For players who already know they’ll be sticking with the game long-term, this edition offers better overall value.

What makes this deal even better is that Fanatical will provide a Steam key with the purchase. That means you can redeem Nioh 3 directly on Steam and have it ready in your library ahead of release. In other words, there’s no need to worry about third-party launchers or extra steps. The only downside is that resold Steam keys tend not to be supported by Steam’s refund service.

As for the gameplay, Nioh 3 continues the series’ dark samurai theme but expands it further. The game features a more open field design that still keeps the intense pressure Nioh is known for. You’ll explore dangerous areas, fight powerful yokai, and survive in locations filled with constant threats. Combat is also more flexible this time. Players can switch instantly between Samurai and Ninja combat styles. Samurai style focuses on direct, powerful attacks, while Ninja style relies on speed, mobility, and special techniques. This gives players more options in how they approach fights.
