Deck Buttons has built a name for itself by offering custom replacement buttons for Valve’s Steam Deck. Unlike the standard plastic buttons that come installed on the handheld, its aftermarket options are individually crafted and designed to give owners a more personalized look. And now, it’s doing the same with the second-gen Steam Controller, launched in May this year.

The company uses materials such as hand-poured resin, while some of its designs combine resin with metal. This results in buttons that look noticeably different from the ones Valve ships with the Steam Deck, with buyers able to choose between different colors, finishes, and materials. The same goes for the new Steam Controller button sets.

Pre orders are now available at Deck Buttons

For those who own a Steam Controller and want to customize its appearance, Deck Buttons has opened pre-orders for a new collection of replacement buttons specifically designed for the controller.

One of the available options is the Party Purple set, priced at $49.99. As its name suggests, this set uses a purple color theme, but Deck Buttons has also added glitter to the design. The ‘Party’ design is also available in Black and Blue. This gives the buttons a more distinctive appearance compared to the standard buttons that come with the Steam Controller. Another option is the LE Inspired Orange/Smoked set, which goes in a different direction with a black and orange theme.

The Brass/Copper/Aluminum set looks to be one of the more attractive options. Instead of focusing primarily on bright colors or glitter, this set uses metallic materials and finishes to give the controller a much stronger appearance. It should stand out considerably compared to the standard plastic buttons, especially for users who prefer a heavier metallic theme for their gaming hardware.

Deck Buttons currently has eight custom Steam Controller button sets available for pre-order, giving owners several different styles to choose from. It’s unclear whether it plans to introduce additional Steam Controller designs in the future. But for now, there are plenty of options available.
