PS5 Error Codes have been a bane on players worldwide since its release last November. Sony is cracking on and working hard to get bugs and errors ironed out, but ultimately that can take a bit of time.

PS5 Error Codes -Common Errors

  • PS5 Error Code CE-108255-1

Disc read error – contact Sony Customer Service for warranty repair or replacement.

Game developer server is down, check developer website/social media

Data transfer error between PS5 and PS4. Try a wired ethernet connection instead of a WiFi one. Failing this, reset the router or try using USB storage to transfer save data.

Disc read error. Try another disc to rule out a damaged Blu-Ray disc. If this error is happening on every disc, contact Sony Customer Support for repair/replacement under warranty.

System software issue. Download the latest firmware version, if this fails, load the latest update onto a USB stick and install using this support site, or find a recent game disc to install a newer firmware version.

  • Check is PSN is down
  • Start PS5 and use a wired Ethernet Connection
  • Move PS5 closer to wireless router if using WiFi
  • Restart Router
  • Open the following ports: TCP: 80, 443, 3478, 3480, and UDP: 3478, 34709 and 49152~65535
  • Set up a static IP address in settings
  • Change DNS settings to Public DNS that is free and open to the public.
