Reflex 2 still has no release date, but Nvidia says it’s easy to integrate and coming to many more games

Over two months have passed since Nvidia first launched its RTX 50 series graphics cards. The new GPUs were revealed, unsurprisingly, with a heavy focus on the company’s latest AI technology. While the native performance uplift failed to impress PC gamers, Nvidia has been going all-in on technology such as DLSS 4 and Multi Frame Generation, the latter of which is exclusive to the latest-gen cards.
Another upcoming technology part of the GeForce RTX roster is Reflex 2, the latest version of the latency-reduction technology. Sadly, there is still no release date for the tech despite being announced back at CES 2025. Nvidia claims it will be able to reduce latency by up to 75%. We’ve had a closer look at Reflex after being invited to an Nvidia RTX Blackwell showcase event on March 25th.

Reflex 2 is already confirmed for two titles, and will be added to games with frame generation
Nvidia has already confirmed that Reflex 2 will be available on two titles at launch – Valorant and The Finals. These are two games that Team Green has been showing off in its recent Reflex benchmarks. The key to success is the new Frame Warp Technology, which uses predictive AI. By predicting movements and camera position, Nvidia claims up to 75% latency reduction.
It’s important to note that Reflex 2 will first debut on RTX 50 series GPUs, while support for older generations of GeForce RTX GPUs is coming “in a future update”. At the event, Nvidia again showcased the technology in The Finals, dropping from a 30ms delay on Reflex 1 to sub-10 on Reflex 2. They also showed a stark performance comparison with the RTX 5070 and RTX 3070, in which latency is greatly reduced on the 50 series cards.
Reflex has become increasingly important for games with frame generation, especially when you consider the sizeable amount of latency added when pushing AI-generated frames – this was immediately evident in a Half-Life 2 RTX showcase at the event.
On the topic of frame generation, Nvidia revealed to us that Reflex 2 will be added to games with frame generation moving forward, claiming that it is easy to integrate for game developers, taking just an afternoon of development time. So, while the second-generation technology is currently only being shown off in two FPS titles, you can expect to see it in any game that supports Nvidia’s DLSS Frame Generation or Multi Frame Generation.
Be sure to check out the full list of DLSS 4 games to see what could be getting Reflex 2 integration.
