RTX 4060 and 4070 GPU discounts in China could indicate worldwide price drop soon
Table of Contents
When one region gives a popular PC component a significant price drop, the rest of the world typically follows suit. This is likely what will happen with both the Nvidia RTX 4060 and 4070 Founders Edition GPUs, which recently received discounts from online retailers in China.
Over on JD.com, some 4060 and 4070 graphics card variants went on sale for well below MSRP. According to Wccftech, the RTX 4060 Founders Edition’s price dropped to 2999 RMB, a 200 RMB discount from its official MSRP of 3199 RMB. Unfortunately, it seems the deal was an immediate hit with the masses, as the 4060 Ti Founders Edition is now sold out. Similarly, the RTX 4070 Founders Edition received a 200 RMB price slash, which brought its cost from 4799 RMB to 4599 RMB. Like its lesser-numbered counterpart, however, it appears JD.com has reverted the price to its MSRP, likely following excessive demand.

The GPU competition is fierce
Even though these RTX 4060 and 4070 GPU discounts in China are no longer available, their popularity and the uber-competitive graphics card market suggest that more will follow in the coming months. After all, it was only recently that the AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D went under $300 in China. And if this similar bundle is any indication, more of the same combos and package deals centering on the previously mentioned GPUs will probably pop up soon. Of course, this is still merely speculation for now since Nvidia has yet to reveal its plans for the future.
