Samsung just launched pre-orders for its latest QD-OLED monitor. The Smart Monitor M9 (as you may be able to tell from the name) isn’t strictly aimed at the gaming market, but we think it could still be a great all-rounder choice for those of you looking to make the upgrade to an OLED monitor.

The South Korean electronics giant is also releasing updated versions of the M8 and M7 series displays. All of these models are now available for pre order on the Samsung store.

Samsung’s Smart Monitor range gets a refresh

All three models feature 32″ displays, the flagship of which is the M9 (M90SF) with a QD-OLED panel and 165Hz refresh rate. The new M7 is also available in a larger 43″ model. We’ve put together a comparison of the key specifications just below.

According to Samsung’s press release, the flagship Smart Monitor M9 is fitted with an “AI-powered QD-OLED display,” which is the introduction of QD-OLED to the M9 series. As part of Samsung’s smart monitor series, they also act as a complete ‘smart entertainment hub’ with quick access to streaming apps, Samsung TV Plus, and the Samsung Gaming Hub. They use the Tizen operating system which supports features such as Bixby and Alexa voice assistants.

Pre-ordering one of these monitors also comes some Samsung Credit, with the M9 offering up to $300 instant credit with your purchase. This means you can essentially grab another monitor for free, and there are a range of discounts currently available. The Samsung store lists that these new Smart Monitors will be shipped by July 11.
