Some RTX 5080 partner cards might end up costing close to the price of a 5090 as early pricing leaked
Table of Contents
We’re extremely close to the release of Nvidia’s next two enthusiast GPUs: the RTX 5090 and RTX 5080. In case you missed their initial reveal back at CES 2025, these cards have a recommended price tag of $1,999 and $999 respectively. That’s a sizeable price gap (which is reflected in the specifications) – the flagship has double the VRAM, for example.
In any case, it seems like the only way of actually getting one of these cards as MSRP is to buy a Founders Edition model, but we all know how hotly contested those are. That’s because according to early price leaks, AIBs from Nvidia’s partners for these two GPUs are far exceeding their recommended price tags, with the 5080 costing up to $1899.99 in one extreme case.

Early pricing for third-party RTX 5090 and RTX 5080 cards revealed
PCPartPicker is a popular tool for anyone interested in building a PC. Aside from that though, it’s also a good way of pricing up your new rig and hardware inside it. And now, we can use it to see some early pricing for RTX 5090 and 5080 graphics cards ahead of release on January 30th.
One of the most extreme examples is this ASUS ROG Astral OC RTX 5080, which is set to be listed for $1,899.99 on B&H Photo Video. The RTX 5090 edition of this enthusiast model is reportedly set to cost $2799.99.
