Sony has today introduced two new gaming monitors, the INZONE M10S and M9 II, designed specifically for competitive gamers – especially in the case of the former. Professional esports team Fnatic has also been involved, making them look set to redefine the gaming monitor market.

According to details on Sony’s website, the INZONE M10S was “developed in collaboration with Fnatic esports team”. As a fast 480Hz OLED monitor, we have no reason to believe that it won’t be a strong contender for the best OLED monitor this year. Furthermore, both models feature the latest DisplayPort 2.1 connectivity standard, alongside HDMI 2.1.

The INZONE M10S is a 27-inch OLED monitor with a stunning 2560×1440 resolution and a refresh rate of 480Hz. This high refresh rate ensures smooth gameplay. Additionally, the M10S boasts a peak brightness of 1300 nits, providing great image quality and colors. The monitor is also certified for DisplayHDR True Black 400, delivering deep blacks and contrasts.

One of the standout features of the M10S is its 24.5-inch mode. This mode reduces the resolution to 1332×1332 at 480Hz, or 1080p if preferred, making it ideal for tournaments. The monitor also includes FPS Pro+, a special mode that enhances motion clarity and sharpens images, mimicking the characteristics of a TN panel, which is often favored by competitive gamers.

The INZONE M10S is designed with gamers in mind, featuring a compact base that maximizes desk space. The monitor is equipped with both DisplayPort 2.1 and HDMI 2.1 connectors, ensuring compatibility with the latest gaming consoles and PCs.

For those who prioritize higher resolution over ultra-competitive gaming, the INZONE M9 II is a compelling option. This 27-inch 4K IPS monitor offers a refresh rate of 160Hz, providing smooth visuals and reducing motion blur. While it may not have the same peak brightness as the M10S, it still delivers impressive image quality with 750 nits of brightness and 95% DCI-P3 coverage.

The INZONE M10S and M9 II are expected to be available for purchase later this year. Pricing for the M10S is set at $1,099, while the M9 II will retail for $799.
