Black Myth: Wukong has been released, and it has taken the gaming world by storm and shattered the Steam record, beating popular titles like Cyberpunk 2077 and Elden Ring. To celebrate its release, Nvidia’s partners in China launched a selection of Black Myth: Wukong-themed RTX 40 series GPUs, all sporting cool new limited-edition designs.
Partners like MSI, Colorful, Gigabyte, ZOTAC, GALAX, Manli, Inno3D, and Gainward have all released their Black Myth: Wukong variants, and all seem to follow a similar trend. That is, only the “Super” variants are Black Myth: Wukong themed, meaning the RTX 4070 Super, RTX 4070 Ti Super, and the RTX 4080 Super.
That said, many variants haven’t hit the global market yet and are seemingly limited to the Chinese market, which is a bummer if you were getting in the mood to order a limited Black Myth: Wukong RTX GPU.
Black Myth: Wukong GPU Variants
We’ve compiled a list of all the GPU variants along with their pictures so you can decide which one you like and hopefully get your hands on it when the SKUs make it to the global market.
Colorful
The Colorful variant of the RTX 4080 Super features a golden and black theme, which aligns with the Destined One’s armor. The middle fan has a ring light around it, which should further add to the aesthetic of your build, especially if you match the other components to the same theme.
MSI
The MSI RTX 4070 Super Black Myth: Wukong GPU is a slim variant, meaning it has triple fans and dual slots, but it is slimmer in width, which might make it a suitable option for those with a low-profile build.
GALAX
GALAX is the only one to release an RTX 4070 Ti Super variant, and it comes in white. As you can see in the picture, it is a bit different from other graphics cards as it is a 20th Anniversary Edition with two fans in the front and one at the back for maximum cooling.
ZOTAC
The ZOTAC RTX 4070 Super has a Black Myth: Wukong backplate, which sports a high-res image of the game’s protagonist. It also features a triple-fan and dual-slot design, which is needed to keep these heavy cards stable and running cool.
Manli
Manli released an RTX 4070 Super OC variant, which also features a stylish backplate. It should also come with higher clock speeds as it comes overclocked from the manufacturer, but we can’t say how much performance difference there’d be as we haven’t reviewed it ourselves.
Gigabyte
As we’ve seen before, the Gigabyte RTX 4070 Super OC Black Myth: Wukong features a black and golden theme. This looks very nice combined with the backplate, which features a closeup of the Destined one. It is also a triple-fan GPU, so it should do well keeping the temperature under check.
Gainward
Lastly, Gainward went with the RTX 4070 Super and made an all-white variant, which should look excellent in your rig if you follow that color theme. It moves away from the black or black and golden theme that other partners are following but makes it work with a good backplate that doesn’t look out of place.
Where to buy the Black Myth: Wukong GPUs
If you’re interested in getting your hands on one of the limited edition Black Myth: Wukong RTX 40 series GPUs, the good news is that they are readily available on JD.com. Just double-check whether they can be shipped to your country or region before placing an order or paying for it beforehand.
As for the performance of these GPUs, the most you can expect is increased clock speeds in the OC variants. Other than that, all the changes are visual and won’t have an impact on the performance of the cards. If you want to check out how these cards perform, we’ve reviewed the RTX 4070 Super, the RTX 4070 Ti Super, and the RTX 4080 Super in-house for their reviews.
