CPU: Ryzen 7 7800X3D
To begin with, the bundle comes packed with the Ryzen 7 7800X3D, which is one of the best gaming CPUs that you can buy right now. Thanks to its high L3 cache size of 96 MB, it delivers top-tier performance in gaming, something which makes it an excellent processor to pair with high-end GPUs.
Aside from that, the CPU offers 8 cores and 16 threads. It also operates at a base clock speed of 4.2 GHz, which can be boosted up to 5 GHz for better performance during intensive tasks. Even after offering all of this, it has a fairly low TDP of just 125W, which isn’t that high. However, we’d still recommend getting one of the best coolers for 7800X3D, as it will help keep the temperature within safe limits, which will not only prevent overheating but also improve the lifespan of the CPU. If you want to read more, we reviewed the 7800X3D and gave it 4.5 out of 5 points due to its strong performance.
Motherboard: ASUS B650-E TUF Gaming
Next, for the motherboard, we have the ASUS B650-E TUF Gaming. This motherboard has an all-black theme with a touch of color in a few spots to compliment the TUF theme. It has a sleek look but does not offer anything fancy like RGB. However, this won’t bother those who are a fan of minimalistic looks.
For starters, the ASUS B650-E TUF Gaming has an 8+2 VRM structure, so your components will be safe from power-related issues such as sudden power spikes. Aside from that, for storage, you’ll get three M.2 slots for SSDs and four SATA 6GB/s ports for standard HDDs. The best part is that one of the M.2 slots is PCIe 5.0, meaning it will deliver super-fast speeds. As far as the connectivity is concerned, you’ll get eight ports on the rear and seven ports on the front, so you’ll have plenty to connect your peripherals and other devices with. There’s also a 2.5G ethernet port to establish a high-speed wired internet connection.
RAM: G.Skill Flare X5 32GB DDR5
Finally, for the RAM, you’ll get Skill Flare X5 32GB DDR5 memory. Most games these days require only 16 GB of RAM, so you’ll be more than fine with the bundle offers in both gaming and productivity. The kit includes two 16 GB sticks, each capable of reaching a speed of up to 6000 MHz. You can, however, upgrade to something bigger if needed in the future.
How much will you save?
If you buy the three components individually, you’re looking at a total spend of around $709.97. However, with Micro Center’s offer, you can get them all for only $599.99, meaning you’ll save $110 through the deal. The money you save can be invested in other components, such as one of the best PSUs for gaming. Or, you can use it to get one of the best PC cases for airflow, which will keep the overall temps low.
