CPU: Ryzen 7 7800X3D
For starters, the bundle comes packed with the Ryzen 7 7800X3D processor. For those who don’t know, this is one of the best gaming CPUs you can buy right now, offering performance better than most of the other processors in the market. As it is an X3D CPU, it boasts an L3 cache size of 96MB, which is one of the reasons behind its solid performance.
Aside from that, the 7800X3D has 8 cores and 16 threads. On top of that, while it operates at a base frequency of 4.2 GHz, it can be boosed up to 5 GHz during intensive tasks like gaming. However, even with so much power, it has a fairly low TDP of just 125W. We also tested the 7800X3D for our review and gave it 4.5 out of 5 due to its exceptional performance.
Motherboard: ASUS B650-E TUF Gaming
Next, have the ASUS B650-E TUF Gaming motherboard. With an all-black theme, this motherboard can help give your rig a clean look. And since it’s a part of the TUF series, you’ll also find a touch of orange in a few spots. However, it doesn’t offer anything fancy like RGB, but this won’t bother those who prefer a minimalistic look.
As far as the specifications are concerned, the motherboard offers an 8+2 VRM structure, which will ensure your components are safe from issues like sudden power spikes. You’ll also get three M.2 slots, which will let you connect SSDs. And if you’re planning to install some HDDs as well, then you’ll also find four SATA GB/s ports. When it comes to ports, you’ll get eight on the rear and seven on the front. Plus, there’s a 2.5G ethernet port, which will benefit those who have a high-speed internet connection.
RAM: G.Skill Flare X5 32GB DDR5
Micro Center has also included 32GB of DDR5 RAM inside the package. This one can reach a max speed of 6000 MHz, meaning you can multitask without worrying about facing any performance issues or lag. On top of that, 32GB is more than enough for most games and productivity software.
How much will you save?
If you buy the three components individually, you’ll need to spend around $692.97. However, with this Micro Center bundle, you can get them for only $599.99. In other words, you’ll be saving $92, which you can invest in other components, such as one of the best coolers for the 7800X3D to help keep it cool during extended gaming and productivity sessions.
