It seems Valve’s ongoing Steam Frame shipments are moving along nicely, as multiple users report being moved from the waitlist to the reservation queue today (September 30). Response-based tracking sites also show record numbers of deliveries being sent out so far, though these should be taken as a ballpark figure rather than anything official. Even still, it’s a promising sign.

Customers hoping to get their hands on the new Steam Frame VR headset are placed into the randomized reservation queue, provided they meet Valve’s requirements – your Steam account must be “in good standing,” among other requirements to deter scalpers. Before the reservation queue, there’s a waitlist, but once you’re in the queue, you have a chance to receive an order email.

Steam Frame reservation queue is being filled again

Unofficial source @HardwareSteam on X claims “multiple people” in the Steam Frame waitlist have been promoted to the reservation queue. We’ve also noticed a handful of users posting their successful promotion in the comments. “You’re officially in the reservation queue,” Valve’s email reads, meaning customers should stay on their toes in anticipation of an invitation to order.

According to SteamFrameOut, the number of people being promoted from the waitlist to the reservation list massively spiked on September 30, with 885 reports (so far) today, seemingly backing up reports from @HardwareSteam on X and multiple others confirming their new reservation status in the comments.

Tracking website SteamFrameOut also reached its highest peak number of deliveries since its initial launch earlier this month. Valve started shipping the Steam Frame just over a week ago, and nearly 300 users reported receiving their new VR headset yesterday. However, it should be noted that these stats are based on user responses – not tracked automatically. As such, the real number should be much higher, but we can use the stats provided as a guideline.
