The Samsung Galaxy XR announcement was a surprise to many, but the timing makes sense. It rivals Apple’s Vision Pro (which recently got an M5 chip upgrade) while being $1,700 cheaper. The mixed-reality headset was unveiled and released on the same day, so there’s no time for pre-orders. Instead, we can jump straight to finding where to buy one.
Samsung has only released the new mixed reality headset and its accessories in the United States and South Korea, so we’re going to be sticking with U.S. retailers in this guide. Availability details for other regions are yet to be revealed. We’ve already seen the XR controllers and XR travel case go out of stock, causing delivery delays; the headset itself is still readily available.

At nearly half the price of the Apple Vision Pro, the Galaxy XR enters the market with a competitive price tag in the mixed reality headset market. During the launch period, Samsung is running a 30% discount on the travel case and controllers when bundled with the headset. This also goes for the Galaxy Buds3 Pro.

Can you pre order the Samsung Galaxy XR?
No, you cannot pre-order the Samsung Galaxy XR – it was released on the same day it was announced, on October 21 (October 22 in Korea). And since the XR Controllers have already sold out, you won’t be able to grab this optional extra for the time being.
We previously spotted a December delivery date for the XR Controllers, and now you can’t add them to your cart at all. However, you can sign up for email and text notifications for the controllers; this is the closest thing to pre-orders right now. We’ll have to wait and see if Samsung announces pre-orders or instant availability for other regions in the future.
