Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 will require users to use the Nvidia App if they want to use Nvidia’s latest DLSS 4 technologies. Nvidia confirmed to PC Guide that the game supports DLSS 2 and that Multi Frame Generation is not currently supported by the title. However, users are able to get DLSS 4 benefits via the Nvidia app by selecting the override mode when playing supportive games. Should you go down the app route, you’ll be able to upgrade DLSS Super Resolution to the DLSS 4 transformer AI model to further enhance image quality and DLAA.

The upcoming medieval adventure from Warhorse Studios could have been a perfect title to show off Multi-Frame Gen technology, given how demanding it is. Just like the previous game, Kingdom Come runs on CryEngine, which we all know is capable of some stunning visuals. It’s no surprise, then, that the recommended GPU for the game is either an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 or AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT.

Multi-Frame Gen is a new feature currently exclusive to the latest 50 Series cards, which are capable of using AI to squeeze out significant performance gains by inserting AI-generated frames between rendered frames. While those lucky enough to have snagged either an RTX 5090 or RTX 5080 will be able to enjoy MFG mode on up to 75 titles, sadly Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 will not be one of them. They do, however, get some other benefits of DLSS 4, which should ensure decent performance gains, respectively.

Will DLSS 4 Multi Frame Generation be available on KCD2?

It’s unclear whether or not the latest frame generation technology, which inserts up to a maximum of 4 frames per rendered frame, will be available on KCD2 in the near future. We know that Nvidia is working hard to bring the latest technologies to all the latest games, but it takes two to tango in this realm, and it’s up to the developers to hold up their end of the bargain if players are to enjoy the feature.
