Now, One For All remotes can be programmed in two ways – you can use the SimpleSet feature for some popular brands, or you can use the direct code entry method. In our guide, we have covered both methods. For your convenience, we have also included a list of codes. With the SimpleSet feature, technically, you don’t have to use codes, as the remote comes with pre-set programming.
For this guide, we have selected the One For All URC7880 Universal Smart Remote Control. However, the process of setting up OFA remotes is more or less the same, so you can use this guide for reference.
Quick Answer
If you want to connect your One For All remote to a popular brand device, you can – press the Magic button > select the device > press the number for your brand > test the remote.
If your device’s brand is not listed for SimpleSet, you can search for the code and program the remote. We have a guide and codes list for this right here.
How to program One For All remote with SimpleSet feature
Simply follow the steps below to program your One For All universal remote to work with your preferred device quickly. Remember that you might have to repeat this process multiple times till you find the code that works for you.

Press the Magic button
First of all, you have to press and hold the Magic button until the ‘Device’ button starts blinking light.
Step
Select the device mode
Then, you need to select the device you want to connect the One For All remote to. For instance, if you want to use this remote with a TV, then press the ‘Device’ button and select TV.
Step
Press the number for your brand
Next, you have to press and hold the number for your device type and brand. For instance, if you want to use the OFA remote with LG TV, then press down 2. Keep holding the button until your device turns off.

Test your OFA remote
When the device turns off, release the button. The LED light will blink twice to confirm that the programming has been saved. You can now test the remote and see if it functions properly with your device.
How to program One For All remote with codes
If you don’t find your device listed in the SimpleSet list, then you can program the OFA remote using the direct code entry method.
Before you get started with programming, make sure you find and note down the codes for your device. You can scroll down and use the list in our guide or refer to the user manual here.
Step
Turn on your device
First of all, you have to manually power on the device you want to connect the remote to.
Step
Press and hold the Magic button
Press the ‘Magic’ button on your OFA remote and hold it until the ‘Device’ button lights up.
Step
Press the ‘Devices’ button
Press the ‘Devices’ button and keep pressing it until you select your device. For instance, if you want to set up the OFA remote for your TV, then press the button once.
Step
Enter the code
Type in the code that you found for your device. The LED light will then blink twice and go out.
Step
Press the power key
Now, point the remote towards your device and press the power button. If the right code is entered, then the device will turn off, and you can start using the remote.
However, if the device is still on, then repeat the steps above and try a different code.
