How to program Onn remote without code

Here’s how you can program the Onn universal remote with your devices without using the codes.

Turn on your device, such as your TV, DVD player, or anything else.

Make sure to keep only one device on. If you have you keep everything on at the same time, the remote will fail to connect.

Press and hold the Setup button on the remote. On some models, there’s a Program button instead of Setup. Keep holding the button until the power light on the remote is on.

Press the dedicated button for your device, like the TV or DVD buttons, on the remote. When you do that, the power light should blink once and then stay solid.

Next, point your Onn universal remote towards the device. Then, press and hold the OK button until your device turns off.

Now, try using your device with the remote, such as turning it on, changing the channels, adjusting its settings, and so on. If it’s not working, you’ll have to program it using a code.

How to program Onn remote

Turn on your device and press the Setup or Program button on the remote. Again, hold it until the power light on the remote turns on.
