Galaxy Z Fold 5, one of the most awaited foldable phones is about to be launched, and many people are already talking about the possible features and specifications of the device. The foldable phone will likely build upon the successes of the Z Fold 4 with improved durability, faster performance, and updated camera systems.

Release Date for Galaxy Z Fold 5

Like the Galaxy Z Flip range, Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold range comprise of foldables. However, the crease lies length-ways. 

From what we know, Samsung will launch the Galaxy Z Fold 5 alongside the Z Flip 5 at the Samsung Galaxy Unpacked Event on July 26, 2023. This has already been confirmed by Samsung. The shipping date, according to some sources, is August 11, 2023. At this point, we have no idea how much it would cost since the company is yet to announce the price. However, we do have information on its expected features and specifications. 

Features and Specs of the Z Fold 5

Samsung has not officially announced the full features and specifications of this forthcoming foldable. However, there have been rumors and several online leaks of the foldable smartphone. We’ve done some searching and managed to find some possible speculated information about the forthcoming smartphone.   • 4,400mAh battery capacity
  • USB Type-C charging port
  • Rear camera: 50MP main + 12MP ultrawide + 10MP telephoto
  • Size: 6.1 x 5.11 x 0.25 inches when open, and 6.1 x 2.64 x 0.53 inches when hinge closed
  • Will probably be available in different colors; blue, beige, black, platinum, and light blue


With Samsung dominating the foldable gadgets market, the Z Fold 5 aims to further refine the foldable experience, with some major tech upgrades over its predecessor. Though full details are not yet confirmed, the Z Fold 5 should bring meaningful enhancements while retaining the core multi-tasking functions and flexible display that define the Z Fold line.
