Since its early access launch in June 2023, BattleBit Remastered has become a hit, which has led many people to ask the question: What platform is Battlebit on? This massive multiplayer FPS has leaped to the top of the Valve Corporation’s Steam charts after seven years of development.

Its enormous popularity has meant that BattleBit Remastered has surpassed games like Starfield and CS:GO to become the most-bought title on Steam. The game may end up being one of the best multiplayer games available with support for 254 players per server. Since so many people have been asking, we’ve investigated whether the game is accessible on any other platforms.

Can I get BattleBit Remastered on platforms other than Steam?

The game won’t be coming to platforms like PS5, Xbox One, or Switch, according to the four developers behind the game. Given the unprecedented popularity of the game in early access, they may reconsider this. However, according to a message in the game’s official Discord server, console ports are not currently in the works, so don’t expect to see any cross-platform support soon.

Why is BattleBit Remastered so popular?

It’s not hard to see why this title has taken the gaming community by storm since its launch and become one of the most-played games on Steam today.

The massive multiplayer FPS supports up to 254 players per server on a near-fully destructible map, over 45 weapons with extensive customization options for tailored combat, dynamic day and night gameplay, as well as a classic class system with Assault, Medic, Engineer, Support, and recon roles. It also features a large variety of various vehicles, such as helicopters, tanks, and sea vehicles, enabling vehicular combat.

You can speak with clan members and enemies in real-time via proximity-based voice chat. With real-time communication, you’re able to smoothly strategize in battle with your team, and an enhanced netcode enables a maximum of 254 players per server to engage in combat with little-to-no lag or dropout. There’s also a broad range of game modes including Conquest, Rush, Team Deathmatch, and more.

Additionally, the minimum processor and system requirements for the game are insanely low, making it accessible for anyone’s gaming PC setup.

On top of all of this, the price of the game is a wildly low $14.99, and the developers have promised to be entirely transparent about any pricing changes that may come along with the game’s evolution. Additionally, it’s fully compatible with the Steam Deck, so you can take this game with you wherever you go!

BattleBit Remastered offers a variety of unique gameplay opportunities and a surprisingly immersive gameplay experience for such a low-poly FPS game.
