EA FC 25 is finally out (at least in early access for now), but some of its players are being met with issues that are ruining their gameplay experience. From crashing to black screens, players have been complaining about various problems. However, it now seems that some of them cannot even use their Xbox or PlayStation controller in EA FC 25 on PC. The issue is significant enough that the developers have acknowledged it and are working on a fix.

Turn off Steam Input for both controllers

If you’re facing issues in EA FC 25 with either your PlayStation or Xbox controller, you can simply disable Steam Input to overcome the problem.

Access Steam settings

The first thing you need to do is launch Steam and sign-in to your account. Then, click on Steam in the top-left corner and select ‘Settings.’

Open Controller settings

From the settings, scroll down and click on ‘Controller.’ This will be on the left side, just below ‘In Game’ and above ‘Voice.’

Disable Steam Input

Once in the Controller settings, scroll down and click the toggle button next to ‘Enable Steam Input for Xbox controllers’ to turn it off.

Then, click on the box next to ‘PlayStation Controller Support’ and select ‘Not enabled’ from the drop-down menu. It should look like this:

First, launch Steam and go to your game library. Then, click on EA FC 25 to open its game page.

On the opposite side of the ‘Play’ button, there will be a controller icon. Click on it.
