Hisense TV blinking red light – how to fix and possible causes

If it’s a minor issue, then a soft reset or power cycling should solve your problem. Here’s how you can perform a power cycle – 

• Make sure that the TV is turned off
• Unplug the power adapter
• Wait for up to a minute
• Plug the adapter back in
• Turn the TV on

Check if the blinking red light is gone.

If you think that power supply is the issue, then you can try these few methods –

• Plug your TV to a different outlet
• Change the power adapter
• Check the cable for any damage 

If it’s a power supply issue, then you can try changing the surge protector and/or the power strip if you are using these. Sometimes, if the surge protector or the power strip is not working correctly, it might prevent the uninterrupted flow of power to the TV, causing the red lights to blink.

Sometimes, if your TV’s software is not up to date, then it might cause hindrances in regular functioning. While the exact process might be different for your model, the general process is the same.

• Head over to the ‘Settings’ menu
• Go to ‘Device Preferences’ or similar options
• Find an ‘About’ section and locate the System Update option
• The TV will look for available updates to install
• Once the updates are installed, see if the red blinking lights are gone

• Then, look for the ‘Factory Data Reset’ or ‘Reset’ option
• You might be prompted to enter a 4-digit code
• After you confirm the reset, your TV will restart with the default factory settings
