From connecting your Playstation VR to the PC, to setting up the software afterwards.

You’ve managed to source an amazing piece of vertical reality kit. Fantastic! You sit down at your desk, ready to set it up on your computer, when a bunch of textboxes spring up, telling you something is wrong. Your PlayStation VR won’t connect. Buying VR tech is super expensive, and depending on where you got it from, you might not get a refund! Have you really just wasted all that money?!
It’s okay! You can still use PlayStation VR on your PC, but you’ll have to download a nifty piece of third-party software first. Just because these two weren’t designed for each other, doesn’t mean we can’t find a workaround.
PlayStation VR is not designed for your PC, so you need to download some software that can translate the coding language from the PC to your headset. This coding, or communication, is key to getting your games to play normally.
There are a couple of things you’ll need before you can start the communication process.
The first thing you need to create is a Steam account. Steam lets you play games on your computer anyway, so this is a great starting point. Next you’ll need a SteamVR game for you to play. And lastly you’ll need Trinus PSVR, the third party software that’s going to translate the information for you.
Before you buy Trinus, try their free trial to see if you like how it handles your PSVR.
Now you have everything prepared, it’s time to instal your Trinus PSVR.
Open a web browser.
Enter www.trinusvirtualreality.com/psvr/ into the search bar.
Download Trinus and run it through a malware scan (it’s always good to be cautious).
When the file has finished downloading, click run.
Read through and accept the agreement.
Click the “Next” button.
Decide which folder to send the download to, and then click the “Next” button.
Decide where to put the shortcut, and then click the “Next” button
Click the “Install” button.
You’ll be taken to “Installation Wizard”, where you should click the “Next” button.
Click the “Finish” button.
Trinus PSVR will now be installed!
Now the software is ready for your PlayStation, the hardware has to catch up. This is going to involve a HDMI cable, USB to Micro USB cable and a processor for your PSVR.
The PSVR is now connected to your PC, but it is not ready to play games yet. So first, you need to finish off setting up the Trinus software.
Everything is almost ready. All you have to do now is connect Trinus to your PlayStation VR, follow these steps, and you’ll be gaming soon!
Now your PlayStation VR should be compatible with your PC. You can get the games you need off of Steam and play to your heart’s content! There are tons of games to choose from, so download something that looks fun and get playing!
