AskAI vs ChatGPT – What’s the difference?

Table of Contents
ChatGPT and AskAI are two very popular, but very different, AI tools. It can be hard to choose between today’s selection of AI tools, with many of them offering great features similar to ChatGPT, and some of them even surpassing in some respects. One of those contenders is the AskAI chatbot. In this comprehensive guide, we compare these two AI chatbots to find the difference between AskAI vs ChatGPT, and ultimately which is better for you.
AskAI vs ChatGPT – Key similarities
AskAI is a new rival in the chatbot industry was founded by Michel Heap and Alex Rainey and launched on 20th February 2023. On the other hand, OpenAI's ChatGPT was introduced officially on 30th November 2022. In terms of users, ChatGPT edges out the AskAI chatbot with over 100 million weekly active users, making it the most used chatbot. However, both have very similar functions but the features offered by both platforms categorize the users.

Both of these chatbots are similar in that they’re both quick, useful, and responsive. Both offer detailed insights, multilingual support, and both are based on large language model (LLM) technology. However, the features are where the two really begin to differ from each other.
Notable differences
My AskAI, formerly known as the No Code AI model builder, uses OpenAI technology. However, the two differ here in that Ask AI responses are powered by the GPT-3.5 Turbo LLM, and ChatGPT doesn’t use this specific version anywhere in its public interface. By comparison, ChatGPT uses the GPT-3.5 LLM for free users, and the GPT-4 VLM (Visual language model) for ChatGPT Plus, Teams, and Enterprise subscribers. In short, AskAI uses a more recent AI model than the free version of ChatGPT. However, ChatGPT is still probably the most knowledgeable AI chatbot on earth, and is objectively more powerful for paid users.
The two differ substantially in use case, with My Ask AI tailored for customer service and customer support applications. By contrast, ChatGPT is a comprehensive AI chatbot for personal use. ChatGPT can’t even be used in the same way — it’s the model itself, GPT-4, that could handle customer support on external websites via the OpenAI API.
The multilingual ChatGPT tool caters to a wider range of use cases, like AI-generated content creation. Available
AskAI can be used for customer support in SaaS, market research, content marketing, education, and healthcare (HIPAA). BY catering to the specific needs of business owners, it can optimize ease of use for it clients, and provide a better user experience for its clients customers.

AI Chatbot benchmarks comparison
AskAI uses a GPT3.5 turbo model to find data from the provided content while ChatGPT has GPT 3.5 model. Both chatbots have achieved great numbers in the benchmark test. Have a look at it.
Benchmark | Grok-0 | LLaMa 2 | Inflection-1 | GPT-3.5 | GPT-3.5 Turbo | Grok-1 | PaLM 2 | Claude-2 | GPT-4 Turbo |
GSM8k | 56.8% | 56.8% | 62.9% | 57.1% | N/A | 62.9% | 80.7% | 88% | 92% |
MMLU | 65.7% | 68.9% | 72.7% | 70.0% | N/A | 73.0% | 78% | 75% | 86.4% |
HumanEval | 39.7% | 29.9% | 35.4% | 48.1% | N/A | 63.2% | N/A | 70% | 67% |
MATH | 15.7% | 13.5% | 16.0% | 23.5% | N/A | 23.9% | 34.6% | N/A | 42.5% |
According to the benchmark test, AskAI surprisingly outperformed in the MATH benchmark test with a maximum of 42.5% problem-solving ratio compared to other GPT 3.5 and other models. The most difficult task for the NLP(Natural Language Processing) bot is to deal with middle-school math word problems that struggle to get accurate answers from questions. But that's not the case with the GPT 3.5 Turbo model, which scored a remarkable 92% on GSM8K benchmark tests. It means it can easily handle all types of mathematics.
The remaining two benchmark tests include HumanEval and MMLU which are focused on programming efficiency and multiple choice tests. The GPT 3.5 Turbo scores 67% and 86% in both tests which is significantly higher than the GPT 3.5's 48% and 70% respectively.
What's the difference between AskAI and ChatGPT?
What sets apart AskAI from ChatGPT is the variety of features and app integration support that ChatGPT lacks. However, both chatbots are available for free to use with limited features under the plan.
AskAI offers three plans:
- Free
- Essentials (Starts at $13.30/m)
- Pro (starts at $60/m)

AskAI did have some great features that were lacking in the ChatGPT AI chatbot. But the AskAI is not as efficient as ChatGPT. The AI chatbot mostly struggles with document comparison, data analysis, and scheduling appointments. However, ChatGPT can do all these tasks including generating content, maths, and programming very easily.
