Prime Day is in full swing, and there are some cracking deals on gaming laptops to be had. Now is a very good time to grab yourself something from Alienware, in particular, for less of a premium, like this Aurora gaming laptop for instance. It’s currently 18% off for Prime Day, and coming in at $2,099.99, which also appears to be its lowest price for months according to Amazon pricing history.
I’ll break down what we like about this laptop in more detail below, but if you’re short on time, here are the need-to-knows. It packs an RTX 5070, which is great for FHD and QHD gaming on the go, a powerful Intel Core i9-270H processor, which is a solid all-rounder for gaming, content creation, and productivity, 32GB of DDR5, a 1TB SSD, and a speedy 120Hz WQXGA display. It’s also designed with premium materials, features a much more slimline, portable form factor, and is arguably one of the sleekest RTX 5070 gaming laptops available on the market right now.

RTX 5070 mobile is the sweet spot for gaming laptops
This graphics card features 8GB of GDDR7 VRAM and boasts significant improvements over the previous generation when it comes to ray tracing and AI capabilities, making it a very strong pick for AAA gaming on the go, handling creative workloads, and a good option for those looking for a less bulky gaming laptop, too. It’s also a fair whack less than your standard RTX 5070 Ti model, and you could argue it makes more sense for purely mobile usage, too.

Intel Core 9-270H processor is a smart all-rounder pick
This processor pairs well with the RTX 5070 mobile and packs a very high 5.8GHz boost clock speed, large 24MB L3 cache, 14 cores, and 20 threads. You’re essentially getting something that’s going to handle games at high fps easily with low frame latency, blast through demanding creative workloads in apps like Blender and Premiere Pro, and be great for heavier multitasking, like streaming and running background apps.
Loads of RAM takes this to another level
It features 32GB of DDR, which is not always the case with RTX 5070 laptops, and makes it primed to handle asset-heavy games and complex creative projects incredibly well.
An excellent display for gaming
At WQXGA resolution and 120Hz, this screen isn’t over-specced for the RTX 5070 mobile’s capabilities, giving you a resolution that’s high enough to see details clearly when playing games at higher settings, and enough headroom for competitive frame rates.
Should you go for this deal?
Alienware gaming laptops are usually much more pricey than your standard options, but this deal closes the distance substantially, allowing you to grab something premium for closer to your standard RTX 5070 price point. This is the type of laptop that’s great if you’re looking for quality FHD and QHD performance, solid workstation, and content creation capability, and overall excellent build quality and design. It’s not as high-spec as some of your other RTX 5070 models, but I think that’s a good thing, as you’re not paying over the top for components which are completely overkill for its graphics card’s capabilities, and for its target usage.
