Who’s this Skytech Azure gaming PC for?

As far as the GPU goes, the RTX 5070 is one of the best graphics cards you can buy for 1440p gaming at high refresh rates, and can be used for 4K gaming, when assisted with DLSS and MFG. It’s a big leap from the RTX 5060 Ti, as it has 12GB of GDDR7 VRAM, and a higher CUDA core count of 6,144, making it more adept at handling more demanding AAA titles and various creative workflows, such as 3D modeling and complex video editing. For content creators and gamers alike who don’t want to shell out at least $1,800, from my experience, on an RTX 5070 Ti prebuild, it’s an excellent choice.

It’s also a great way to go if you’re looking for the latest tech, which may sound obvious, but if future -proofing is high up on your list, then having the latest VRAM, 4th-gen ray tracing cores, and 5th gen tensor cores goes a long way, especially when the latter makes MFG possible; a feature exclusive to the 50-series. Don’t miss our full RTX 5070 review if you’re keen to see more in-depth benchmarks.

The CPU here is also a bit of a winner for the price, and while it’s not a popular X3D model, it still packs a punch for FPS gaming. The Ryzen 5 7600 is a 6-core, 12-thread Zen 4 CPU with a 5.1GHz boost clock speed and a large 32MB L3 cache. For content creators and heavy multitasking, sure, you could probably go with something from Intel instead for roughly the same price, and grab something with a higher core count, but for gaming, it’s an affordable, powerful option to pair with the RTX 5070. Great for those who primarily want a gaming rig.

This gaming-first approach is also reflected in the amount of DDR5 in this build, which comes in at 16GB. That’s more than enough for gaming and will make AAA titles run incredibly smoothly, but it’s not overkill for the RTX 5070, which would ultimately make this more expensive. Personally, I think 32GB of DDR5 RAM makes the most sense with cards like the RTX 5070 Ti and above, and for those working with very demanding creative tasks in Blender and Premiere Pro, or playing open-world games at the very highest settings. Either way, it’s more than enough for this build, and great for the price. Storage is also a little scaled back, but still sufficient for most people, coming at 1TB. Great if you’re playing a handful of games on rotation, and easily upgradeable if you find yourself needing more in the future.

Alternatives to consider

This is very much a gaming-first style of build, as mentioned, so if you’re after something slightly more versatile for content creation for roughly the same price, I’d say it’s either worth exploring RTX 5070, Intel CPU options, or an RTX 5060 Ti 16GB build. This STORMCRAFT RTX 5060 TI 16GB Gaming PC with an Intel Core i7-14700F would be a good shout for content creators, and under $1,600, which is not bad. And this ABS Flux II Aqua RTX 5070 Gaming PC with an Intel Core i7-14700F would also be a good option, and is under $1,700.
