What we like about this bundle
The Ryzen 7 7800X3D is the former world’s best processor for gaming, and it is still an excellent option for anyone looking to build a just-for-gaming device. We’ve tested this processor in our testing lab and put it through our suite of benchmark tests, which include CPU-Z, Geekbench, Cinebench R23, Puget Systems Photoshop, and more.
In the CPU-Z single- and multi-core tests, the 7800X3D delivered 643 and 7,085 points, respectively. For comparison, the 5800X3D managed 461 and 4,889 points, so the generational improvement of the 7800X3D was great. In the Puget System Photoshop benchmark, we got 8,446 points, meaning it should be able to handle the workflows of Photoshop easily.
However, its multi-core score isn’t the best compared to the “X” processors from Team Red, meaning it’ll trail behind in tasks that require good multi-threaded performance.
The ASUS ROG Strix B650E-F features a mid-range B650E chipset and has plenty of great features. It has a 12+1 power delivery system, which means that the power will be filtered through 12 phases before reaching the CPU, resulting in a stable supply and promoting better performance.
It has WiFi 6E connectivity, meaning if you’ve got a WiFi 6E router, you can use the 6GHz band to work, stream, or play games without running into lag or interference issues. It also has a maximum memory capacity and speed of 192GB DDR5 RAM and 8,000 MT/s (OC). What this means is that you can stack as much RAM as you want, giving your system better efficiency and performance. There is also plenty of I/O, so you shouldn’t have any issues connecting your peripherals.
