If 2026 has taught us anything about PC components, it’s that SSD prices are painful, and graphics card MSRPs only really exist on paper. The second one of those has an exception, though, since we’ve spotted the AMD RX 9070 GRE at Newegg $32.50 less than its usual price of $567.49. However, if you click the “Extra Discount Available” link, you get an extra $35 discount for sharing your email address, for a total of $67.50 off and a final price of $500. That’s $50 below MSRP.

Why we like the AMD RX 9070 GRE

Fast 1080p gaming

While not one of the best graphics cards for gaming, this RX 9070 GRE deal is great for fast 1080p gaming, and it can hit 1440p, too. The obvious alternatives would be the RTX 5060 Ti 16GB ($600-700) or Team Red’s own RX 9070 XT ($750+). Both outperform the RX 9070 GRE (with more VRAM), but the lower cost is a win for cost-first builds.

Improved FSR and FG

AMD’s current crop of graphics cards is in a much better place thanks to improvements with FSR 4, including AI-powered frame generation. That adds a bit more potency to the RX 9070 GRE, even if Nvidia is the de facto winner with its Blackwell architecture and DLSS 4 shininess.

Decent VRAM capacity

Helping the RX 9070 GRE with its longevity and flexibility is its 12GB of GDDR6. That’s lower than the clear alternatives, but it’s a solid capacity for a graphics card that could power some content creation, streaming, or recording of gameplay footage. It’s also enough to provide a bit more headroom in modern titles and to allow it some 1440p potential.

What to consider before you buy

The RX 9070 GRE will give plenty of 1080p performance. And at $500, a 1080p graphics card with some 1440p potential (not in the second-hand market) is a relief to see. For pure performance-per-dollar, then, this deal has a lot going for it, especially at a price well below the card’s MSRP. However, if you want consistent, fast 1440p performance with more VRAM, the more expensive competition needs to be considered.
