At a time where GPU prices are high, this PNY RTX 5070 Amazon deal has caught our eye
Table of Contents
It’s not a great time for graphics card prices. With the market lacking the forward promise of newer models – and memory chips in short supply – it’s unusual to see a decent discount. But the PNY RTX 5070 Slim Dual-Fan OC stands out at Amazon because it just got a discount. In recent months, the card has been pretty much stable at $670, with a couple of spikes beyond it. But right now, the cost is $40 less at $630. According to price tracker Camelcamelcamel, that’s the lowest price so far.
PNY NVIDIA RTX 5070 Slim OC
Why we like the PNY Nvidia RTX 5070 Slim OC
A True 1440p GPU
The RTX 5070 is a true 1440p graphics card, and as our hands-on review shows, 4K is even possible in some lesser-demanding games. The fact that this card also supports DLSS 4 and MFG (multi-frame generation) means there’s plenty of performance to be had here for years to come.
Quiet and cool
User reviews point to the PNY 5070 Slim OC being both cool and quiet. That’s always a bonus, but the fact that this is a slim, dual-slot card leaving space for other components alongside it makes it even better. PNY has opted for a refined thermal design based on Nvidia’s reference design, so that’s also impressive given the factory overclock up to 2,587MHz.

SFF-friendly
It’s not in the description, but if you’re looking to put together a small form factor build, then this is a good pick. The dual-slot design means it doesn’t take up unnecessary space in a case. That allows for more airflow, which is only good for heat dissipation in a smaller case.
What to consider before you buy
There’s not a lot that we can think of when it comes to caveats on this deal. Of course, if you can find an RTX 5070 for less, and you don’t mind a chunkier design, then price wins. And the only other question, if you’re committed to a truly 1440p graphics card, is how much 4K performance are you after? If you can push to $700, the RX 9070 XT is an option, but without the quality of Nvidia-specific scaling features. The best graphics cards for gaming is the place to read more.
