Table of Contents
Newegg’s number 1 best-selling gaming laptop is now at its lowest price in 30 days, with a hefty $350.99 discount dropping it to $1,449.00. As with many products on Newegg, it also comes with a free 007 First Light game bundle, worth $69.99, too.
So this laptop is a cut above your typical RTX 5060 model, as even though the graphics card is somewhat entry-level, the rest of the build is pretty high-end. The screen is QHD+ and 240Hz, its processor is the powerhouse Ryzen 9-8940HX, and it packs 32GB of high-speed DDR5, all of which make this laptop great for gaming, but also a workstation beast, too.
MSI CROSSHAIR A16 Gaming Laptop, GeForce RTX 5060
In terms of gaming laptop pricing, given its components, it’s actually very competitive at this price. Sure, for purely gaming, it’s a bit overkill for the RTX 5060, but this is much more than that.

What we like about this MSI Crosshair A16 gaming laptop
RTX 5060 mobile is a winner for gaming on the go, with solid content creator capabilities
With 8GB of GDDR7 VRAM, 4th-gen ray tracing cores, 5th-gen tensor cores, and MFG, this graphics card is great for FHD/ FHD+ gaming without completely breaking the bank. For moderately demanding content creation workflows, like photo and video editing, it’s also quite adept thanks to its decent amount of memory and features like 9th-gen NVIDIA encoders.
Its Ryzen 9-8940HX processor is a powerhouse all-rounder
This processor takes this laptop to the next level from your typical, more affordable RTX 5060 model, as it packs a huge 16 cores and 32 threads, 5.2Ghz boost clock speed, and massive 64MB L3 cache, making it as good for high fps gaming with low frame latency as it is for very demanding multitasking and handling of creative workflows.
Higher resolution screen with powerful gaming performance
Instead of your standard FHD+ screen, you’ve got a QHD+ display, which is going to make all the difference when it comes to picture and text clarity. Games should look crisp and clear on this screen, and with a rapid 240Hz refresh rate, you’ve got loads of headroom for fast-paced, high-framerate gaming, too.
32GB of DDR5 is ideal for this type of build
It’s going to dramatically reduce microstuttering in more demanding titles, assist with super snappy multitasking, and give you enough memory headroom to work on large, creative projects without your system slowing down.
Cooler Booster 5 is great for its high-powered CPU
MSI’s robust cooling system is a strong pick for this Ryzen HX processor, which is designed for top-tier performance and can generate a fair bit of heat.
