Why we like the ASUS Chromebox 5a
Specs for office admin
Core ChromeOS computing doesn’t require hefty specs. So the Chromebox 5a’s Intel Core i3-1315U with Intel UHD graphics, 8GB DDR5 (4800MHz) RAM, and 128GB of storage is plenty for users who need access to office tools for admin, light app use, Google Docs or Sheets tasks, and video calls.
Excellent connectivity
The Chromebox 5a may be compact and low-cost, but it still has strong connectivity options. For web connectivity, it has 1Gbps LAN and dual-band Intel WiFi 6E (802.11ax). It also supports 1 x USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A, 3 x USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-A, an audio jack, and a Micro SD card slot.

Four 4K displays at once
For users who need more than one, two, or even three screens, the Chromebox 5A has no qualms. It supports up to four 4K monitors at once, thanks to its dual HDMI, DP, and USB-C connectivity. So, should your productivity depend on a precise order of multiple screens, this device has you covered.
What to consider before you buy
Although this is a ChromeOS device, you should still consider the model with the right specs for your needs. The Chromebox 5a Intel Core i3 is the second least powerful variant. The more powerful options are the Intel Core i5-1335U (Intel Iris XE graphics, 256GB storage, 8GB/16GB DDR5) model and the Intel Core i7-1355U (Intel Iris XE graphics, 256GB storage, 16GB/32 GB DDR5) model. However, neither is currently available with a discount on Amazon.
