For users not ready to make the jump to WiFi 7, WiFi 6 networks offer excellent value and proven speeds. TP-Link’s Deco X55 AX3000 is a hugely popular, easy-to-use solution for setting up a network, and the three-pack is back to its best price this year in an Amazon deal. Now at $150, you can save $45 on a solution with enough nodes for a split-level property where signal black spots may be an issue.

Strong coverage area

With three nodes (one router, two satellites), this pack offers flexibility and good coverage, with TP-Link stating the set can cover up to 6500 sq.ft. It also supports up to 150 connected devices on one network, so if you have a busy house where decent range is necessary, this set could be the answer.

Good flexibility

Any of the three Deco X55 units in this pack can be used as your WiFi router, with the other two taking up ‘satellite’ duty around your property. There’s flexibility for wired backhaul too – if you want better speeds – since each of the units has three Gigabit Ethernet ports available. That also allows you to easily connect devices directly to a unit.

Easy to set up and manage

Deco units, and TP-Link overall, are known for being easy to use and set up. So, if you’re keen on replacing an old network or (quickly getting a new one set up), the Deco app can help get you up and running in a matter of minutes. Once set up, it’s easy to monitor and manage from the app.

What to consider before you buy

The big thing to consider with this deal is that it’s for a WiFi 6 system. It’s a commitment to get any network in place, because you’ll want to depend on it for years. However, if you don’t need WiFi 7, there is money to be saved. A Deco WiFi 7 router setup with three units could easily be double the price of this deal. However, there are benefits to consider, like faster speeds for compatible devices.
