The new action RPG from BioWare and Electronic Arts has just made its way to the top of Steam's global top-selling games chart, ahead of Black Ops 6.

Dragon Age: The Veilguard is Bioware's latest project since 2017, following the disappointing release of titles like Mass Effect: Andromeda and the multiplayer RPG Anthem. However, after a long and unexpected hiatus, it seems like the studio is back on its feet, which is reflected in the Steam top-selling games chart.

Steam top selling games chart

At the time of writing, Dragon Age: The Veilguard holds the top spot on Steam's top-selling games chart, surpassing not only previously popular titles like Helldivers 2 but also pinning down the recently launched multiplayer FPS, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, from Microsoft, Xbox, and Activision.

Dragon Age: The Veilguard is EA’s biggest-ever single-player game on Steam

The feats achieved by Dragon Age: The Veilguard don't just end with being a best-seller; it also claims the title of EA's biggest single-player game on Steam. Previously, this record was held by the widely acclaimed 2023 title, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, with an all-time peak of 67,855 concurrent players. Now, the new Dragon Age takes the crown with an impressive peak of about 70,414 concurrent players.

With a Metacritic score of 84 and an IGN rating of 9, Dragon Age: The Veilguard is shaping up to be one hell of a comeback for Bioware, and honestly, we're happy for them. If you're thinking about picking up the game, it's available for $69.99 on Xbox Series X|S and PS5, and $59.99 on Windows PC via Steam, the Epic Games Store, and the EA app. The game is also included in EA Play's Pro tier and is expected to release on the standard version soon.
