Gamers don’t need to choose between speed and quality when shopping for monitors. The proof is found in models like the Acer Predator XB273K V5, a dual-mode monitor that supports both 4K and Full HD. Being dual-mode has some obvious benefits, but before we get to that, let’s look at the deal. This stylish 27-inch monitor is now back to its best-ever price of $250 on Amazon. And that’s good value for what’s on offer.

Why we love the Acer Predator 27-inch XB273K V5
Dual-mode gaming with fast refresh rates
For enjoying ultra-detailed 4K gaming, the XB273K V5 supports a snappy 165Hz refresh rate. That’s ideal for cinematic and immersive titles where atmosphere is key. However, if you need speed, you can switch the monitor to its Full HD mode, unlocking a blistering 320Hz refresh rate, backed by a 0.5ms response time. That’s fast enough for competitive gameplay and gives you the best of both worlds.
VESA DisplayHDR 400 accuracy
The XB273K V5 has the VESA DisplayHDR 400 certification, guaranteeing good contrast and color accuracy, plus a peak brightness of 400cd/m2 (nits). That’s a reassuring level of quality for enjoying 4K gaming, and the panel covers 90% of the DCI-P3 color gamut, so games should look vivid and vibrant.

ErgoStand design and VisionCare
This monitor isn’t all about gaming and performance. The XB273K V5 has Acer’s ErgoStand, so you can find comfort with its pivot, swivel, and height adjustments. And, in addition to physical comfort, the monitor supports VisionCare, a technology that helps protect your eyes and minimize irritation during long sessions.
What to consider before you buy
This monitor is great if you want a 4K monitor, but don’t want to give up the speed of Full HD gaming. However, if you don’t want a monitor that can do both, you can easily save more by picking a model that does one or the other. That’s a choice for you to make, depending on whether you’re likely to ever switch modes in search of more quality (in 4K) or more speed (in FHD).
