Mini-LED brings something different to the table, in a good way
While OLEDs are incredible for color and contrast, mini-LED monitors like this one are excellent if you’re looking for something brighter. This monitor has 2,392 local dimming zones, which means it’s incredibly accurate and precise when it comes to brightness, color, and contrast, making for lifelike and nuanced visuals. Should you get this Samsung 57-inch Odyssey Neo G9 monitor now?
As you can see from the price tracking data above, now is a good time to go for it, as it’s pretty much at its lowest price of 2026, and it’s dropped down from $2,100, which is a pretty substantial discount.
Whether there’s any real urgency to jump on this deal right this minute is another thing, though, as this monitor follows a very typical pattern I see with many ‘extreme’ ultrawide displays. Generally, they get huge discounts, but very frequently, especially when major sales start kicking off. I’d say that this will very likely be at this price again in June, so if you can’t grab it now, in my opinion, it would be safe to wait.
