Excellent Elgato Facecam 4K now at its best price in three months on Amazon
Table of Contents
Staying connected while remote-working, gaming, or creating content usually requires a camera. For 4K video, Elgato’s Facecam 4K is one of the webcam models you may come across. However, the Facecam 4K regularly has a price of around $200 on Amazon. That makes deals on the device all the better. So good news, then! The Facecam 4K is currently $160, saving you $40 (20%). That’s the lowest price in three months, and one we’d be happy to get it for.
Why we’d pick the Elgato Facecam 4K
Clear 4K60 video
It’s important to know the limits of your webcam, as some 4K webcams only deliver 4K30 (30fps) or 1080p 60fps video. The Elgato Facecam 4K isn’t one of those. It can capture clear, detailed, and smooth 4K60 (60fps) video. So you don’t have to choose between fluidity and detail.
Sharp and vibrant
The sharpness and color captured by the Elgato Facecam 4K are two of its clear plus points – and factors that Amazon reviewers don’t overlook. Those qualities are the result of Sony STARVIS 2 CMOS sensor combined with Elgato’s own Prime Lens technology.

Creative and lens options
For the creatives looking for more than a plug-and-play webcam, the free Elgato Camera Hub software offers additional options and customizations for your video capture. So you can tweak and change settings to get the exact visual quality you need. You can even style your shooting with any 49mm lens filter for greater flexibility.
What to consider before you buy
While there are plenty of 4K webcams to choose from, we like the Elgato Facecam 4K for its excellent quality and its 4K60 video capture. If you’re happy with 4K30, you may be able to save some money on a different model. However, note that if you’re keen on features like AI tracking and gesture control, the Facecam 4K lacks these features completely.
