The G502 X-Plus was first released in 2022, and according to price tracker Camelcamelcamel, its lifetime average Amazon price is $152. Right now? Its list price is $160, but you can get it for $128 – a $32 saving. And yes, this mouse is still very much worth considering.
Why we’d pick the Logitech G502 X Plus Lightspeed
Excellent, reliable sensor and switches
FPS gamers have long praised the G502 X Plus Lightspeed for two main reasons. The first: the mouse uses Logitech’s Lightforce switches. This hybrid optical-mechanical switch technology delivers precise actuation and a satisfyingly tactile response to button presses – which is what you need in firefights. The Second: Logitech’s Hero 25K gaming sensor, which is designed to deliver precision with zero mouse smoothing, filtering, or acceleration, so you can trust your own movements.
Lightspeed connectivity
A fully cordless mouse, the G502 X Plus uses its Lightspeed connectivity for professional-grade performance and reliability. As the most recent mouse in the wireless G502 range, it uses an updated protocol. Logitech reports that this provides a 68 per cent faster response rate and improved reliability, which matters when you’re depending on your mouse for victory.

Reversible DPI-shift and dual-mode scroll wheel
Not everyone holds their mouse the same way, so Logitech has given this model a reversible, removable DPI-shift button. This means you can put the DPI-shift where you want it. You can reverse it to bring it closer to your thumb… or simply replace it with a cover. Additionally, the mouse’s scroll wheel can be used in hyper-fast free spin mode or a precision-focused ratcheting mode for extra control. Either way, you can programme the left and right tilt of the wheel for even more control.
What to consider before you buy
The Logitech G502 X Plus Lightspeed is a cordless/wireless mouse with a reputation for reliability, precision, and useful features. Plus, it offers RGB lighting, Logitech PowerPlay (mouse mat) charging, and is a device that FPS gamers will surely make the most of.
